During Autumn and Winter, the humidity is often low and wind is strong. These make our skin tense and dull, and may even increase fine lines. To maintain healthy skin all year round, here are a few skin care tips:

注意皮膚清潔 - 我們每天都無可避免地接觸到空氣中的污染物,加上皮膚的分泌、油脂及汗,都會阻塞毛孔並增加毛孔發炎及長暗瘡的機會。所以每天要徹底清潔皮膚,並選用合適的保濕護膚品;

Cleanliness - Dust and pollutants cannot be avoided in the air. Together with secretion, oil and sweat from the skin, they would block the pores and may cause pore inflammation and pimples. It is important to clean the skin thoroughly everyday and use suitable moisturizer;

|
防曬 – 即使在秋冬季節,亦不可輕視太陽的紫外線。戶外活動時要預備帽等遮擋陽光,並選擇合適的防曬產品。要注意防曬產品的SPF係數越高是指防曬時間越長,但透氣度亦越差,並要確保睡前徹底清洗防曬品,以免阻塞毛孔;

Sun protection – UV light from the sun should not be ignored even during Autumn and Winter. Prepare a hat or something to avoid direct sunlight and use suitable sunscreen. Note that the higher the SPF index the longer it can protect your skin from the sun. However, its air permeability also decreases. It is important to remove the sunscreen thoroughly before going to bed to avoid pore blockage;

要有充足的睡眠 – 充足的睡眠可讓皮膚休息,尤其是在晚上。白天睡多久也不能完全補充晚上的睡眠不足;

Sleep – Enough sleep, especially at night, allows the skin to rest. Sleep during daytime cannot fully compensate the sleep deprive, regardless of the sleep duration;

不要吸煙 – 吸煙會增加身體中的游離基,破壞細胞組織,加速衰老;

Not smoking – Smoking increases the free radicals in the body. Free radicals damage cells and speed up ageing;

做適當運動 – 運動除了有助減壓,亦可促進血液循環和新陳代謝,有助供應養份及送走有害物質,對抗游離基,以減少對細胞的破壞;

Exercise – Exercise can help release stress and improve blood circulation and metabolism. It helps supply nutrients and send away waste and toxin, fight against free radicals and therefore decrease the damage to cells;

多喝水 – 水份是最佳的保濕品,每天要喝六至八杯水,以補充所流失的水份;

Drinking water – Water is the best moisturizer. Drink six to eight glasses of water every day to replace the loss of water;

保持均衡飲食 – 保持均衡飲食及多吃蔬菜水果能攝取多種營養素及抗氧化劑,供應肌膚所需養份及對抗游離基,以減少對細胞的破壞。

Balanced diet – A balanced diet with plenty of fruit and vegetable provides a wide variety of nutrients and antioxidants. They supply nutrients for the skin and help fight against free radicals, and thus reduce the damage to cells.
